Paper currency note. It is printed with a repeating border that reads, "The United Colonies THREE DOLLARS," around the edges. At the center is a circular logo with the words "EXITUS IN DUBIO EST." around an illustration of a heron spearing an eagle through the neck. There is also the inscription, "THREE DOLLARS. THIS Bill entitles the BEARER to receive Three Spanish milled Dollars, or the Value thereof in Gold or Silver, according to a Resolution of CONGRESS, passed at Philadelphia November 29, 1775." It is signed "A. Morris". The back is printed with the words, "THREE DOLLARS / Philadelphia: PRINTED BY Hall & Sellers. 1775," an unidentified central illustration, and a floral scrollwork border.Acquisition
