Description

Sword and scabbard.The sword's grip is made of shagreen wrapped with twisted gold-toned wire. The guard and pommel are decoratively molded to show symbols of the United States, including several eagles. The scabbard is made of steel with brass loops. The blade is marked "US" and "Shannon Miller & Crane New York". The outside of the guard is engraved, "Lt. E.H. Prouty Co M 1st INFY VT. Vol. 1898 U.S.A."
