Description

One-piece fife constructed of fruitwood with brass ferrules. The ferrule on the foot end is missing. The fife has seven circular holes: one for the emboucher, and six key holes.

Context

Used by Aloin McKnight when the Marquise de LaFayette visited Montpelier in 1825.
