Pink plain-woven silk dress with long sleeves. The bodice has an upper yolk, trimmed at the bottom with two rows of piping. The bottom of the yolk is shaped into a curved V, outline the shape of the wearer's breasts. The high waistline is formed by a drawstring directly beneath the wearer's breasts. The loose sleeves terminate with two gathered line, forming a wide cuff, with a ruffle trimmed in silk that would cover most of the wearer's hands. The dress opens at the center back and secures closed with a drawstring at the raised waistline and two buttons on the neck yolk. There is a pink satin ribbon attached to the side seams at the waist line that tie together over the closure tie.Context
