Private bank note for 5 dollars. The left edge is printed with the word, "VERMONT", and there is a swag border with the word "FIVE" within every other swag. The top reads, "FIVE DOLLARS". The center reads, "The President Directors & Company of the BANK OF WINDSOR promise to pay [blank] or bearer on demand ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS WINDSOR July [illeg]1865." The ground of the center is filled with the words "Five Dollars" repeated. The 2 signatures have faded to illegibility.Context
