Description

Small brass medal with a small hole drilled through top and a white ribbon attached. The face of the medal has a bust of a man in a military uniform with epaulets. The inscription, "MAJ: GENL. W. H. HARRISON BORN FEB. 9, 1773", rings the edge. The back of the medal shows a log cabin and reads, "THE PEOPLES CHOICE IN THE YEAR 1840".

Worn to the Celebration at Stratton, Vermont, on July 7, 1840, in honor of William Henry Harrison's inauguration.
