Description

Round, gold medal hanging from a blue silk ribbon. The front of the medal is molded with an image of a horse and the inscription, "JUSTIN MORGAN 1789 SIRE OF THE MORGAN STRAIN". The back of the medal is molded with the inscription, "SPECIAL PRIZE [blank] 150TH ANNIVERSARY 1939". There is a space left blank on the reverse for engraving the winner's name.
