Description

Navy blue wool uniform jacket. The secures at the center front with four brass buttons, all above the waist. There are four front pockets: two at the hips and two at the breast. Each closes with a top flap that secures with a brass button. All the buttons are molded with the UVM logo, as are two brass pins on the collar. Both sleeves have white double chevron patches on the upper arms. The left sleeve has a white star patch and "U.S. / R.O.T.C." patch near the cuff. A label on the front right interior reads, "Turks, Burlington".

Context

Worn by a student in ROTC at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. UVM's ROTC program was founded in 1913 as the Student's Army Training Course.
