Pieced quilt in a Log Cabin pattern in various silks. The silks used are of a large variety of colors and woven patterns, largely strips and plaids. The center piece of the center block is red, but the rest of the blocks have light-blue centers. Within each block, the fabric choices are mirrored, but there are no repeated blocks. Some fabrics are used within multiple blocks, but there is no pattern to the repetition. The quilt is backed with black and rust-red striped silk and bound with blue silk ribbon. It is machine quilted with blue threads, vertically and diagonally.Context
