Description

Two metal paper clips consisting of an oval outer portion and an inner tab (now broken off). Each clip is stamped from sheet metal. Each is stamped with the inscription, "PAT. JAN. 30, '94".

Context

Salvaged from the Arsenal Fire in Montpelier, Vermont, on September 1, 1945. The Vermont Arsenal building burned down after being struck by lightning.
