The face is printed with the inscription, "No. 1088 / THE Franklin County Bank Promises to pay [illeg] or bearer Ten Dollars on demand / ST ALBANS BAY, July 1852." It is signed in both the Cashier and President lines. It is printed with a large X at the center, a woman in a dock scene holding scales, and a woman near a body of water leaning against a large shield. The word "TEN" is printed at the center in red letters, and in in reverse on the back in the same location.Context
