Description

Man’s smoking jacket or dressing gown. The gown is constructed of burgundy silk, striped between a satin weave and plain-woven moiré. It opens at the center front and secures with a single bottom at the waistline on the right and a self-fabric waist tie. It has a shawl collar, and there is a pocket at the left breast. It has long sleeves that end in attached cuffs. The tie terminates with tassels. A tag sewn into the back of the neckline reads, “Made expressly for NATE’S St. Albans – Montpelier Vermont”.
