Patent model of a milk cooler. The cooler is a metal tub with grate over the top set into a wooden table with a hinged and paneled lid. There is space on both sides of the tub for cold water or ice. When closed, there is a small hole in the lid directly above the metal tub. There is a paper tag attached with a metal wire that reads, "Pat. no. 227,007 S. Hill Milk Cooler Patented Apr 27, 1880."
