Description

Blue wool uniform skirt. The sides of the skirt are striped with white canvas strips appliqued to the side seams. The center front of the skirt has an inverted pleat beginning at the lower thigh. The skirt fastens with a metal zipper topped with a hook and eye, hidden beneath an extended placket at the waist.

Context

Worn by a student in ROTC at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. UVM's ROTC program was founded in 1913 as the Student's Army Training Course.
