Description

Navy blue military-style hat consisting of a flat raised crown and a black leather brim. There is a brass badge at the center front with an eagle atop it that bears the inscription, "University of Vermont, State Agricultural College." Inside the hat there is a cotton label inserted into a plastic cover that reads, "Sigmund Eisner Co. Uniforms and Clothing RED BANK, M. J. / Name L. Lisai / 6 3/4 / H4924".

Context

Worn by L. Lisai as a student in ROTC at the University of Vermont in Burlington, Vermont. UVM's ROTC program was founded in 1913 as the Student's Army Training Course.
