Pair of wooden snowshoes with up-turned toe and rawhide webbing. The framed are formed of a single piece of wood bent into shape and secured with two bars across the middle. The webbing is woven in an open pattern, and the frames are highly varnished. There are leather bindings at the center. One snowshoe has the number 40 written on the cross piece near the toe.Context
