Glass trinket box. The sides that are lined with pink marbled paper, while the bottom is adorned with green marbled paper. It also includes a separate lid, which features an outdoor scene depicted in shades of browns and blacks. Additionally, the lid of the glass box has a mirror on the inside. All the seams of the glass box are covered with paper gold trim that is glued on.
Inside, there is a stitched sampler that is crafted on perforated paper. It showcases a picture of a church in shades of greys and greens accompanied by the words "The Lord is in his holy temple". There is also a drawing of a flower wreath on grid paper.
In addition to these items, there are a total of 49 calling cards, each nearly identical in size. Most of these calling cards originate from Lowell, Massachusetts, or Lyndon, Vermont. However, some of them come from Cabot, Vermont.Context
