Description

Small, dome-topped trunk. The exterior of the trunk is covered with hide, with the hair still intact. The edges are decorated with leather tape and brass studs. There is a large metal lock at the center front, and a metal handle at the center top. The interior is lined with 1811 newspapers from Virginia featuring a runaway announcement, a poem about Africa, and advertisements.
