Description

Ivory pendant in the form of a frame. The frame is in two pieces: an upper, U-shaped portion with a central hole, and an arched picture frame. The two pieces are connected with a metal pin through the center, forming a hinge. The upper portion is scratched with a design of a hand pointing to a United States flag. The lines are colored blue and red. The frame is scratched with a design of leafy vines in black and red. The frame holds a small tintype photograph of a man wearing a shirt, jacket, and forage cap. The man's cheeks are tinted pink.
