Small plastic doll wearing an ornate red velvet dress. The doll's arms and legs are hinged at the shoulders and hips, and the head swivels on the neck. The eyes close when the doll is laid prone, and open when upright, and the facial features--including eyelashes--are painted on. The hair is black and has fallen out of the original style. The dress has several tiered layers in the skirt and a Watteau train at the back. A string of crystals is around the waist, and the doll is wearing two strands of pearls around its neck. There is a stamped metal filigree fan attached to the proper right side of the doll with large red, yellow, and white feathers attached to it. The feet are molded into white shoes with a low heel.Context
