Description

Large brass cowbell with attached leather strap. The bell is case with 3 rows of decoration: the top row is berries; the second and third rows have heraldic shields. The wide leather strap is appliqued with the Vermont state shield, which is painted onto a leather patch. The strap secures with large brass buckle.

Context

Given to Madeleine Kunin while Governor of Vermont in recognition of her Swiss heritage.
