Description

Gold-colored metal pin made in two parts. The top part, with the pin attachment, is oval and bears the inscription, "NEW YORK AND VERMONT JOINT CELEBRATION." The larger, bottom part is attached to the top by a short chain and is circular. It contains the bust of a man in 17th-century clothing in the center. The bust portrait is surrounded by two tomahawks, two shields, two boats, and a sheaf of wheat. Below the bust is the inscription, "1609 THE TERCENTENARY OF THE DISCOVER OF LAKE CHAMPLAIN 1909." There are two swastikas beneath the portrait.
