Alphabet sampler on plain-woven linen. The sampler has three alphabets: marking capitals (in brown), script capitals (in brown), and marking lower-case letter (in light blue). The alphabets are followed by the numbers 1-10 in light blue. Each line is separated by an orange border. The bottom center of the sampler is marked, "Almira Torrey" in light blue and "Corinth" in light pink. There is a decorative blue border above the name, and an orange zig-zag border along the bottom. The whole is stitched in cross stitches.Context
