Ice skate consisting of a wooden sole and an iron blade. The blade is attached to the center bottom of the sole and extends past the toe, curling upward to form a C shape. There are two rectangular slits in the sole to accommodate straps. There is a vertical metal post extending upward at the center of the heel. There are two wires twisted together protruding from the sole directly in front of the post, and flattened to point toward the heel. The sides of the blade are painted with white paint in a scallop design. The blade is wide with a flat, rather than sharpened, edge.Context
