Description

Paper-covered cardboard game board for "The Checkered Game of Life". The board folds in half down the center. The front of the board is printed in a checkered pattern, alternating red and blue squares. The red squares are all printed with a quatrefoil design, and the blue square are all printed in black with instructions and illustrations oriented towards to different sides of the board (for viewing by two players). Inscriptions include Prison, Disgrace, Jail, Infancy, Fat Office, Fame, Influence, School, Suicide, College, Ambition, Poverty, Ruin, Bravery, Industry, Honesty, Government Contract; Cupid, Honor, Congress, Success, Idleness, Happiness, Crime, Intemperance, Politics, Truth, Perseverance, Happy Old Age, Gambling, Matrimony, and Wealth.
