Red and yellow satin-woven silk ribbon printed in gold with the inscription, "DELEGATE 19TH ANNUAL ENCAMPMENT U. S. W. V. DEPT. OF VERMONT BURLINGTON JULY 6 - 7, 1932". There is a logo in the center consisting of a cross with weapons on the arms and an illustration of three men in the center. The logo says, "UNITED SPANISH WAR VETERANS 1898-99". The top of the ribbon is connected to a rectangular gold frame pin.Context
Worn by Edward H. Prouty to the 1932 state-wide encampment of the United Spanish War Veterans, a fraternal organization for veterans of the Spanish-American War, in Burlington, Vermont. At the time of his death, Prouty was the last living officer of the Spanish-American War in Vermont.Acquisition
