Description

Soft-bodied black male doll. The doll is made of undyed linen covered with black silk. It has short, curly hair made from black and brown bouclé yarn. The eyes are black glass beads, and the nose is shaped with embroidery. The mouth is embroidered with red thread. The doll is wearing a white cotton shirt with a high collar, black knee-length breeches with buttons at the cuff, red stockings, leather shoes, and a brown wool coat. The coat has a velvet collar, pocket facings, and cuffs, and two rows of buttons down the front. It is lined in red-and-black plaid wool.
