Red ribbon printed in gold with the inscription, "Company M. / Company A. JULY 4th, 1894. Burlington, Vt." There is a logo in the center of a belt around a stag's head (the Vermont state crest) with the inscription, "FIRST REGIMENT. V.N.G." The bottom edge of the ribbon is cut in a swallow tail shape.
