Circular cross-section of a spruce tree. A paper label on the top reads, "Spruce tree 200 years old. Lac Petit Pikauba, June 28, 1943. Larentide National Park. Can. / G. M. Dwinell, Orleans, Vt. / E. C. Skinner, Orleans, VT. / H. E. Converne, Orleans, Vt. / C. H. Kinsleys, Barton, Vt. / Trout striking hard up to 2 1/2 lb. / Good lunck. Good guides. Good time had by all." The words, "4 1/2" diameter", are inked at the bottom of the label.
