Description

Metal tool consisting of a blade with a raised handle. There is a point sticking out of the side of the blade, and the handle is inserted into a round metal mount. The center of the blade is stamped, "BARDWELL".

Use

Used for cutting roofing slate. The point would be driven into a block of wood, and slate would be laid across the blade for cutting.
