Description

Medal consisting of a molded pin, ribbon, bar, and medallion. The pin is shaped like a flying eagle holding a federal shield above a laurel wreath. The ribbon is attached to the back of the pin and is woven to look like a United States flag. The ribbon attaches to a lower bar shaped like a rifle, a saber, and a fouled anchor over a cannon. At the bottom is a cross-shaped medallion with a central round logo of two men, a woman, and a child surrounded by the inscription, "SPANISH-AMERICAN-WAR-VETERANS 1898". The arms of the cross are labeled "PORTO RICO", "PHILIPPINES", and "CUBA".
