Description

Woman's brown plaid silk dress with long sleeves, a round neckline, and a full gathered skirt. The bodice opens down the center front and secures with hooks and eyes. There is a separate placket extending half way down skirt front. The bodice has boned, vertical darts in. The sleeves are cut narrow at the top, with ruffled inserts just below the shoulders, and extending to a wide bell shape with wide velvet bands at the cuff. The skirt is very full and tightly gathered at the waist. It has a narrow, lighter-brown corded binding along the hemline and a seam pocket on right side. The bodice of dress is lined in brown cotton, and the sleeves and skirt are lined in green cotton.
