Description

Rectangular sheet of lead with two piece cut out: a square, and a U-shaped piece. There are several light impressions throughout the sheet, showing where it was struck by die. The majority of the impressions were made by a Vermont ten cent die.

Context

Used as a test piece for the dies made for the Stamp Act of 1797.
