Description

Fountain pen consisting of a long wooden handle and an attached metal nib. The nib is stained black, as is the edge of the handle. Printed in black letters over the orange paint are the words, "Burlington Business College / LARGEST INSTITUTION OF ITS KIND IN NOTHERN NEW ENGLAND". The edge farthest from the nib is thinner and progressively gets larger as it gets closer to the nib.

Context

Burlington Business College, now widely known and regarded as Champlain College changed its name sever times. From 1884-1956, Champlain College was known as Burlington Business College.
