Description

Pair of ice skates. The skates consist of a wooden sole, a metal blade, and leather straps. The sole is shaped like the bottom of a straight-cut shoe with square toes. The straps are attached to the edges of the sole with screws and a strip of metal. The front [toe] straps consist of two wide rectangles on either side with two narrow straps connecting them across the top and securing with metal buckles. The back strap consists of a wide piece of leather that wraps around the back of the heel with a narrow extending strip that crosses in front of the ankle and secures with a metal buckle. The blade spans from the toe to heel and connects to the sole under the ball and heel. The front of the blade extends past the toe and curls upward to be even in height with the sole.
