Description

Basketry doll cradle made of ash splints. It has a long basket base with a hood that is woven in one with the base. The exterior weave of the basketry is decorated throughout with regular loops, or cowis. It is set on 2 wooden rockers set perpendicularly from the cradle bed, each with a rounded bottom. Inside is a pink padded mat/mattress and a pink pillow. They are stuffed with wool, and the mattress is tied quilted. The name "Lula Willis" is written in pencil on one of the rockers.
