The banner is made of a smooth off-white synthetic fabric with a satin-like sheen. In the center of the banner, there is bold red script that reads "Vermont Council on the Humanities." This text is enclosed within a curving border also in red.
To facilitate hanging, the banner is attached to a wooden dowel. At each end of the dowel, a gold cord is affixed, allowing for easy suspension of the banner.
