Round white button with two blue lines crossing the center. The lines bisect an image of an elephant that is blue with white stars on the top and red on the bottom (the symbol of the Republican Party). Within the lines is the blue inscription, "ROLAND SEWARD", and the inscription, "for NATIONAL COMMITTEEMAN" rings the bottom edge of the button.

Context

Made for the campaign of Roland Quincy Seward for Republican national committeeman of Vermont. Seward, of East Wallingford, was Republican party chair from 1961-63 and a Republican national committeeman from 1972-77 and was selected again in 1984, a year before his death from cancer in 1985.
