White cardboard matchbook printed in blue with a photographic portrait of a man and the inscription, "RUGGLES For LT. GOVERNOR". The back reads, "DAN RUGGLES FOR LT. GOVERNOR YOU KNOW WHERE HE STANDS".

Context

Produced for the Republican primary of 1968 in which Daniel Ruggles of Montpelier and Thomas Haryes vied for the nomination. Ruggles lost. He had previously spent four terms in the state Senate from Washington County.
