Description

Silver lamé dress with silk roses along the dropped waistline. The dress is sleeveless and secures at the right should and side seam with metal snaps. The shoulder seams and neckline are decorated with a single line of blue glass beads. The dress is straight cut and fits loosely with the dress only hitting the wearer's body at the hips, where the waistline sits. The waistline is accented with a permanently attached belt with a strip hanging on the left side to made the belt appear tied on. The front and back of the belt are decorated with three large, silk roses in yellow, pink-and-blue, and green. A green-silk-wrapped wire encircles the belt all the way around with silk leaves and buds protruding from it evenly around. The fabric is woven of dark blue or purple silk and thin ribbons of silver. It is woven in a weft-faced jacquard design of large-scale palm leaves.
