This is a bonnet or cap made from blue velvet, which is lined with bright red silk satin on the inside. The crown and short brim are made in one piece, and the bottom corners of the brim extend and come to a point at the back. There is a large red bow positioned at the center top and center bottom back of the bonnet. Additionally, red ribbons are used to tie the bonnet under the chin. Finally, there are irregular box pleats present at the center top of the bonnet.Context
