Pieced quilt in a variation of a log cabin pattern. Each block is pieced around a dark blue center, with half the block formed of dark/deep colored fabrics and the other half formed of light-colored fabric, creating an alternate visual pattern of light and dark diamond blocks. The fabrics are all wool, and are both solids and patterned. The back is pieced in a plain, nondecorative block pattern. However, the colors are carefully arranged to create a bull's-eye effect.Context
