Description

Silk camisole with encased elastic around the bottom. There are 3 triangles embroidered at the center front. The straps are made from silk ribbons. The top is edged in narrow scalloped lace. There is a tag sewn into the back that reads, "B. Altman & Co."

Context

Worn by either Ruth Raymond Jones (1895-1982) or her mother Lena Elnora Levey Raymond (1873-1938) in Ludlow, Vermont.
