Salt glazed ceramic syrup pitcher molded with a high-relief design of a man and woman sitting among palm trees (likely Paul and Virginia). The woman is wearing neoclassical clothing, and the man is wearing a sailor uniform. The other side shows the man on his knees in front of the standing woman with palm trees in the background. The top is mounted with a pewter lid that hinges open near the handle.
