Description

Long-sleeved dress of brown printed cotton (calico). The fabric design consists of small red and tan leaves printed closely together on a striped brown ground. The bodice opens at the center front, securing with hooks and eyes. There is a narrow fall collar trimmed with red woven tape and a narrow band of lace. There is a multi-ribbon bow at the center neckline. The armscyes are low on the shoulder, and the sleeves are cut wide and curved. There is a band of bias-cut fabric edged in red tape encircling the sleeve near the wrist. The skirt is gathered to the bodice.
