This dress is made from semi-sheer white silk decorated with tiny horizontal tucks forming striped bands of 5 tucks each, and is sized for a young girl. It has lace embellishments around the bodice, neckline, and hemline. The sleeves are short and puffed, with lace at the cuffs. There is a light blue ribbon at the dropped waistline that terminates in 2 bows on either side of the front. The full skirt has 3 layers of silk slips. The dress is accompanied by a pair of bloomer, or pantalets, with lace around the bottom cuffs.Context
