Behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aid. The hearing aid has a pale caucasian flesh-colored body that rests behindt he ear with a flexible tube that extends up and over to the front of the ear. The receiver sits just outside the ear canal and is ready for a molded ear piece to secure it in the outer edge of the ear canal.
