Description

Decorative souvenir object in the shape of a flower made from 7 pieces of birch bark. Each piece is embroidered with a stem of flowers in green, pink, blue, purple, and white. The pieces are joined with black thread over white binding. The back of one of the outer pieces has the handwritten label, "Bought of the Indians at Mackinac by Geo. W. Smith in May 1860 and presented to Clarissa Gale.".
