Membership ribbon consisting of a rectangular bar, a yellow ribbon, and a medallion in the shape of a Maltese cross. The bronze bar has decorative scrollwork and the inscription, "27th NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT SEPT. 5. G. A. R. 1893". There is a hinged pin on the reverse. A yellow grosgrain ribbon is looped and stitched onto a wire on the back and stamped with the initials W.R.C. in silver. A medallion hangs from two short chains connected to the bar. Each arm of the cross has a date: 1863, 1864, 1865, 1862. At the center is a bust of a woman wearing glasses and the inscription, "SERVED WITHOUT PAY ADLIA NEW". The back of the medallion reads, "SOUVENIR PRESENTED BY LADIES CITIZENS COMMITTEE INDIANAPOLIS".Context
