Black velvet dress uniform hat. It features a high front that gradually slopes towards the back and a short, rounded brim. The brim of the hat is made of leather and is adorned with beige/mustard-colored thin leather trim, which has a rick-rack edging.
At the center front of the crown is a round silver button with a shield stamped in the center, set into the center of a red and white rosette. Additionally, there are silver buttons on each side of the hat.
The interior of the hat is lined with royal blue glazed cotton and has a black facing. The crown of the hat is triangular in shape, with the point situated at the back of the head. There is a black silk ribbon located at the very back of the hat.Context
